Who Is The Barber Apparel?

My name is Jesse Casas and I am an aspiring barber entrepreneur. I began my journey in the world of barbering in 2011, after graduating high school. I was offered a job cleaning up a local barbershop in El Monte, while attending Cal State LA. As a young adult, I landed different types of jobs from street-team member to desk office job, but never putting the clippers down. What started as a hobby soon became my career, and soon after I realized my love for barbering didn’t stop at the barber chair. I felt inspired by the barber culture and different brands that I decided to create my very own, but not one to represent myself, but the whole barber community and beyond. In 2021, The Barber Apparel was born with the goal of representing every barber in every shop across the world.

Greg Quintana joined me in 2023, after we both attended a barber Expo in San Jose, CA. Immediately, Greg fell in love with the barber culture and saw my vision for the brand. Not only did we share the same vision, but also similar backgrounds, coming from minority families. Greg grew up in East LA for a large part of his childhood before moving with his family to the Central Valley in 2001. Being exposed to so much diversity and culture, Greg gained interest in fashion. Although his future would be in sales for the car industry, he mastered the skill of understanding people and trends. Skills that would help Jesse create a brand to celebrate the unique culture of barbering.

My desire to inspire and empower barbers and Greg’s passion to express through fashion, this side hustle has quickly evolved into a growing and thriving business. Each collection we have done so far, we blend ideas of designs and keep the raw, authentic spirit of the streets and our heritage alive. From the barbershops to the runway, The Barber Apparel embodies the mindset of hard work, resilience and creativity.

The Barber Apparel is a brand that goes beyond catering to only barbers. It’s about the vision or the dream and going after it, embracing every challenge and maintaining your faith throughout the journey.
